I waited the bulk of the heavy downpour out at the Bishop and Belcher pub at the ground floor where I work. I knew where my towel was. It was at home. Space travel may have proven difficult but as it turns out we weren’t slated to be demolished to make way for a space thoroughfare anyhow.
The TTC gave us the D. Things were shut down all over the city. When I did start moving west, the train only went as far as Ossington.
There were apparently shuttle busses somewhere but after seeing the 63 south completely packed I walked it.
I found some soggy cardboard piled outside a home on a side street and used that for protection until I made it to a corner store to buy an umbrella.
By the time I arrived back home, the power was back on. So all things considered, I had a pretty easy time of it.
