C65 Mega BASIC screen scrolling "Hello World!" over and over

There are a lot of things coming up in my life soon. I’m interviewing for a new job again. I’ve been at this so long it can start to feel hopeless, but I really feel good about this place.

My skills match, the culture feels like a good fit, and it seems like a fun place to apply myself for the foreseeable future. Wish me luck!

In other news, I’ve downloaded xemu, the classic computer emulator. I have it running the Mega 65 which is a modern remake of the prototype Commodore C65 computer. Making things in BASIC is one of the ways I spent my time as a kid. This is a modern retro remake which allows you to code in BASIC as soon as the machine is turned on just like old times!

I don’t know if anything will come of it, but maybe I can try to make some simple sprite based games or something like that.

I also have done some maintenance on my Minecraft server that my friends play on very rarely at this point.

The next big thing I’m preparing for is Furnal Equinox. I’m co-hosting a panel with Commander A9 about VRchat! We are hosting a VR portal where furries can see each other in a VR world and in real life at the event! This is something we’ve been doing pretty much throughout the pandemic years and ever since.

The convention itself looks to be a bigger and better event than before. Hopefully the elevators all work this year.
